Button Up Challenge

Hi all, Today's DRS design challenge , is Button Up ( use buttons). So lets see all those beautiful cards.

For my card I wan't to try a new to me technique. The painters tape technique. It's very simple and gives a very nice background. I used three shades of blue stamp pads. Take a strip of painters tape and lay it over the ink pad and rub to pick up some ink then lay it onto your card stock and lightly rub the ink onto the card stock. Then I stamped the Small Script Happy Birthday over the top. I stamped the Single Flower Ribbon Slide and colored it with copic markers then fussy cut added a button to the center and ribbon, There you have it a very simple Birthday card.

Then I stamped the Medium Daisy Bloom colored it with copic markers and fussy cut them. These were layered on to white squares and the black. I stamped the Tiny Happy Birthday and use a oval die to cut it out then stamped part of the Polka Dot Flower Trio on the side going off the edge.

Get Well Leonard

I hope you all are doing well with all this crazy winter weather we are having and then last night we had a earthquake. How fun is that at 10:30 on Valentine night the earth moved, think some guys tried to take created for that : ) LOL.

Today I have a get well card to share. It will put a smile on someone face that is under the weather.

I stamped the Leonard Pig Sidkday Blues and colored with copics, a circle die was used to cut out the image. It was layered onto a layer that was embossed with a gold spellbinder die then cut with a circle die. For the background I used plastic wrap and Platinum, Liquid Pearls and dab'ed  on the background. The Are You "Cured" Yet was stamp and cut apart before being added to the card.

Rolling in Clover Challenge

As I wright this I'm waiting for our catastrophic winter storm! Have not see much at this time. But I have been happily stamping some spring cards.

For the challenge at DRS designs this week it's Rolling in Clover.

For the background I used the Shamrock background stamp and Peeled Paint Distress ink, a gold spellbinder die  was used to cut and embossed this layer.  Some ribbon was added. I stamped the Irish Blessing with Memento Brown ink and sponged the edges with Antique Linen. I stamped the Silhouette Clover and fussy cut this was attached with a pop dot.

I hope you will join in the challenge.

Pop UP Valentine's

Hi everyone, on Pinterest I have been seeing these Pop UP Box Card, so I had to give it a try. Here is the link to the POP UP Box Card that I used.

For my card I did not want to use patterned paper, I wanted to use stamps. So this is what I came up with. For the outside panels I used my new Spellbinder die and cut the center, then I stamped the Filigree Heart with Brilliance Coffee Bean and embossed with clear embossing powder. I used a white jell pen to add the highlights. For the top panels I used the Girl Swirl stamp and a Tombow marker to color on the stamp before stamping ( remember, to breath on the stamp after coloring). For the Inside panels I stamped the Script Font Background in the Brilliance Coffee Bean, using the same technique as before. I stamped the Girl Swirl Stamp over the words.

For the in side pop up parts, I stamped and colored with copics the Medium Daisy Bloom, Background Branch,   Dotted Heart, and the One Line Valentine's Greeting

On my Mind

I spent yesterday with my friend Lynn at the stamp show we had a wonderful time and got to see some great new tools. The weather was beautiful with sunshine and warm temps, we could not have asked for a better day.

For my card I stamped the Plant Shelf and colored with Copic markers. This was layered onto green card then I added a white layer then another green layer. I stamped the On my mind greeting then stamped the Scroll Wording Frame frame this was fussy cut. I added a ribbon layer and used pop dots to attach the greeting, a bow was added. This was attached to a white card.
