Pink and Black Birthday





Hope everyone is enjoying there weekend. I have been making  birthday cards I like to have some stored away, because sometimes life happens and I can't make that special card but hand made they get. For the card that I have today I used the DRS designs Girly Swirly Birthday cake It was colored with Copic markers and the shading is Distress Ink (Antique Linen) a Spellbinder die was used to cut out the image a black layer was added behind the image. The Vertical Birthday Greeting was stamp with black ink and layered onto black card. For the ribbon I used a technique form splitcoast gathering and adding pearls.This was added to a black strip Everything was layered onto pink card the black and added to a white card.

Liberty Bell

Hi all, today DRS designs is sponsoring the challenge at Chocolate Coffee and Card the challenge is 4th of July.



For my card I used the Liberty Bell. This was colored with Copic markers and fussy cut.The Star background was stamped and embossed with white embossing powder on navy paper. The red paper was embossed in a striped embossing folder. and cut on the diagonal  and glued over the navy card. I stamped and embossed the Scroll Word Frame then I used the stamp a ma jig to stamp the Happy Independence Day.

The Letter B

There's a fun new challenge starting over on the DRS designs blog this week. It's The Letter "B" use anything that starts with the letter B. Balloon's, Butterflies, Bar-B-Q, anything goes.



For my card I used the Happy Bee and Bitsy Bumble bee. I stamped Happy Bee, Bitsy Bumble Bee and  colored with Copics they were fussy cut and glitter glue was added to the wings of Happy Bee. I used the Splatter Background stamp and Distress Ink to stamp on yellow card stock. This was embossed in a embossing folder. The Bitsy Bumble bee were attached and Happy Bee was attached with foam tape. The Be'cause Your Special was stamped with brown ink and embossed in a embossing folder.

Butterfly and Wheat

Hi all, the card that I have today uses the Large Single Butterfly, it was colored with Copic markers and fussy cut. I cut a window with a Spellbinder rectangle die in gold paper  The Sending Happy Thoughts was stamped at the top. and the band  was punched with a MS punch was used across the bottom. In the window I stamped the Long tall Wheat

Challenge the Great Outdoors

Hi all, there is a great new challenge at the DRS designs blog this week the challenge is The Great Outdoors.



For my card I used the Humming Bird image. I stamped it twice the Humming bird was colored with Twinkling H20’s  the flower’s were colored with Copic markers I cut out the Humming bird and large flower and popped them up with foam tape. This was layered onto black card stock them pink and the ribbon and bow was added. Everything was added to a white card.

On Fathers Day

Hi all, Happy Fathers day, hope everyone is having a great day with you Dad. For my card today I used the Buck Bust. It was colored with Copic markers I used the out of the box technique to cut out the image. This was layered onto brown card that was stamped with Vicki’s Versatile stamp and scored on my score pal. I used the Open Plaid stamp with brown ink on blue card to stamp the bottom part of the card. The design Tag Die Cut was stamped and cutout a Stamp-a-ma-jig was used to stamp the On Fathers Day. A peace of ribbon was used to separate the two pieces of card.

Lion Love

Hi all,  the card that I have for you today was made using the Lion Love. This little stamp makes me think of the Precious Moments stuffed animals. I used my copic markers to color the image. The  Double Chevron Card Edger was used with Peacock Feather Distress Ink for the background. And a MS punch was used for the golden leaves. Walk on the Wild Side was stamped with the Peacock feather and cut apart.

Fishing Rules

Hi all, I have a funny card for you today. I know a lot of you will be heading to the beach soon, and going out on fishing boats, so here is a little inspiration. LOL




For the background, I wanted it to have the look of weathered wood so on gray paper and Memento London Fog and Vicki's Versatile Background stamp. Then I stamped the Fishing Rules and colored it with Copic markers. I fussy cut then layered it onto black card and fussy cut leaving a slight edge showing. The Happy Shark was stamp and colored and fussy cut. The Fishing Pole was stamped and fussy cut. The Fishing Pole and Happy Shark were attached using foam tape. The finished card is 4.25 X 5.50.
